Increase Of Uninsured Kids In Missouri

A recent study is showing an increase of uninsured children both nationally and locally.

The study conducted by Georgetown University found an estimated 83,000 children in Missouri did not have health insurance in 2018, which is an increase of about 17 percent since 2016.

The study showed that children in states without Medicaid expansion are almost twice as likely to be uninsured than those in states that have the Medicaid expansion.

Missouri is one of 14 states that has not expanded Medicaid.
