City Commission Approves Request To Split Columbia Mall Into Two Lots

A city commission is giving a green light to move forward on a request to split the Columbia Mall into 2 lots to make room for a new hotel.

A unanimous vote was given to create a new lot on the north end of the mall property on Bernadette Drive.

A four story Hilton hotel is planned to be built there by 2020.

The Columbia City Council is scheduled to vote on the plan next month.
