Jefferson City Apartment Fire Starts In Kitchen
An fire that started in the kitchen is to blame for damage to a Jefferson City Apartment building last (Monday) night.
According to Jefferson City Fire Department it happened a little after 5 in the 2500 block of Southridge Drive.
Smoke had to be removed from 3 other apartments in the building and an adjoining building.
An investigation determined a small fire started while a person was preparing a meal and the fire got out of control quickly.
The American Red Cross is assisting with temporary housing.
