Perry Receives Funding For Wastewater Treatment Facility
The United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development has invested over $2.75 million to improve the City of Perry’s wastewater treatment facility.
The city will use a nearly $1.35 million loan and a $1.4 million dollar grant to upgrade the aging system that was constructed in the 1960s.
The system does not currently meet the ammonia limits set by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. This project will help to correct this issue by making improvements to the lagoon treatment system and the existing collection system.
Additionally, the project includes the installation of new sewer mains along Route 154 east towards Highway 19.
