Jefferson City Middle And High School May Soon Be Stocked With Anti-Opoid Overdose Medication
The Jefferson City Public Schools maybe getting ready to have all middle and high schools stocked with an anti-opoid overdose medication.
A first approval to a policy update was given by the district’s policy committee at a meeting yesterday (Wednesday).
The policy update is being recommended by the Missouri School Boards Association.
If the policy gets final approval, each middle and high school in the district would store one dose of Naloxone which is also called Narcan.
The Jefferson City School Board is expected to take up the policy during its meeting next week on Monday.
