Moniteau County Assessor Resigning

The Moniteau County Assessor is resigning in the midst of accusations she used taxpayer money for personal expenses.

Amanda Trimble wrote a letter addressed to Governor Mike Paron yesterday (Monday) saying her resignation is effective January 1st, 2020.

The Missouri State Auditor’s Office received a whistle-blower complaint on November 18th, claiming Trimble misused county credit cards, and even purchased tickets for a personal trip to Texas.

According to reports from KOMU 8 news, Bransetter says her resignation is not related to the complaint, however she is moving on after mulling the decision for a while.
