Should Penguins Be Short? Even Movie Penguins?

Hello! ..It’s your Bud Doug Owens from the “C-S-H …(COUNTRY STARTS HERE)… Morning Show.”

Have you visited your local movie theater lately? Like a lot of folks, going to the show has always been, and will always be, one of my favorite things to do.

Mid-Day Host Ray Michaels and I recently chatted on-air about the New “BATMAN” movie, due this summer. The movie is titled “THE BATMAN” and stars Robert Pattinson (“TWILIGHT”) as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Zoe Kravitz as “Catwoman”, Paul Dano as “The Riddler”, Jeffrey Wright as “Commissioner Gordon”, Colin Farrell as “The Penguin”, and Peter Sarsgaard, reportedly being cast as “Harvey Dent”, among others.

I’m intrigued by the fact Farrell is going to play the part of Oswald Cobblepot, aka The Penguin. Seems like an odd match because when I think about the penguin character, I think about Burgess Meredith’s role in the 1960’S T.V. show starring Adam West and Burt Ward, OR Danny DeVito the 1992’s “BATMAN RETURNS”. When you look at the body types of the aforementioned “Penguins”, Colin just seems… Tall. Penguins are short and stocky. The Penguin characters have always been short and stocky. I’m curious as to how they will make Farrell short and stocky… or will they? And is that okay?

“THE BATMAN” is scheduled to hit theaters on Thursday, June 25th. Safe Travels and enjoy the Show.
