Health care agencies are getting ready for potential coronavirus cases reaching the area.

According to a report from KRCG 13 in Callaway County the EMS has been meeting with county officials and their dispatch center is screening calls, looking for people calling about coronavirus symptoms.

They have protective equipment and will give the suspected person with coronavirus a mask to prevent the disease from spreading.

Other agencies say they are monitoring the global situation with coronavirus and is working closely with government and health agencies to determine if any actions are needed.

Symptoms of the Coronavirus include a fever, cough and shortness of breath.
