Columbia Police Search For Suspect Involved In A Chase And Officer Involved Shooting

Columbia police continue to search for a suspect involved in a chase and officer involved shooting on February 20th.

A press conference held by Columbia Police Chief Geoff Jones yesterday (Friday) it was reported that Keith Brodie was involved in a chase with law enforcement early in the morning.

The chase went south of Columbia in the area of Nebo Cemetery and Highway UU. Police said Brodie turned around and started driving at police, prompting an officer to open fire.

Brodie and a passenger later got out the vehicle and ran.

A search of the area was conducted with the help of a helicopter however they were not found.

Brodie is on the loose and according to the Columbia Police Chief, Brodie should be considered armed and dangerous.

The officers involved in the incident are on administrative leave while the investigation is underway.
