MoDOT Patching Potholes

With nicer weather, Missouri Department of Transportation reports they are working to quickly patch thousands of potholes that are filing the state’s roads.

Thirty four thousand miles of road in the state are maintained by MoDOT.

In 2019, over 17 million dollars was spent to patch over seven hundred thousand potholes.

This year the department will have almost 300 crews statewide working to patch roads.

The potholes are particularly bad after winter when moisture seeps into roads and freezes and expands.

Drivers can report a pothole on a state-maintained road by calling 1-888-275-6636.
