Marshall Public Schools Closing For Two Days While Staff Member Is Tested For COVID-19

The Marshall Public Schools will be closed today (Monday) and tomorrow (Tuesday) due to a staff member being tested for COVID-19.

The employee was taken to a Columbia hospital for several different tests, including COVID-19, the school district has made the decision to close schools until Wednesday.

According to a Facebook post from the Marshall School District an ambulance took the employee to the hospital with flu-like symptoms.

The Flu-tests came back negative and the COVID-19 test will likely not be available until mid-week.

The individual and his family have been placed under quarantine until the coronavirus tests become available.
