First Two Schools In Missouri Closing For Rest Of School Year

Wright City R-II and Warren County R-III schools will close for the rest of the school year.

Each district with a special board meeting last (Wednesday) night and both decided in unanimous votes in favor of the closure due to the recommendation of the Warren County Health Department to close for 8 weeks.

Staff in Wright City will be working to educate students through a virtual setup using Chromebooks and other technology.

Warrenton plans to have a non-mandatory curriculum, instead having teachers send home learning opportunities that are optional.

Wright City will use its bus service and routes to deliver both breakfast and lunch to every student enrolled.

Warrenton will provide meal pickup drive-thru behind the Daniel Boone cafeteria.

Wright City plans to host graduation for the Class of 2020 on May 30th.

Warrenton is still considering dates and arrangements for graduation.
