City Of Mexico Operating At Level Two Of Health Emergency Plan

The City of Mexico is operating under level 2 under their emergency plans due to the current COVID-19 health crisis.

Mexico City Manager Bruce Slagle said that a section was already written in to the city code in Mexico that allows them to do this.

Level 2 consists of having city employees being directed to stay at home and having internal and external meetings canceled and limits access to city hall and suspends city court.

The declaration of the level 2 health emergency was made at the beginning of this week.

Mr. Slagle says that city is prepared to go to the highest level of emergency at level 3 if necessary.
