Update From Audrain County Health Department
As of 1:00 this (Monday) afternoon, the Audrain County Health Department has not had a county resident that has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus, according to a press release from the department.
Numbers provided by ACHD indicate 10 residents being tested with 6 of those coming back negative.
4 test results are still pending.
Additionally, the Audrain County Health Department has not observed any surge in the number of residents requiring testing as a result of the Mexico Middle School (MMS) potential exposure.
The MMS risk of transmission was low and all associated were urged to contact their healthcare provider to determine if testing was needed.
Only those who have been instructed by their healthcare provider should remain at home and not go to work.
ACHD is unaware of any person who was instructed by a provider to remain home as a result of this incident.
Their healthcare provider will also be responsible to indicate when they can return to work.
