State Recalls Masks

Missouri Officials are asking for the return of masks due to safety concerns.

Sandy Karsten the Missouri Department of Public Safety Director said yesterday (Monday) the state sent out 48,000 KN95 masks that did not meet state standards.

The State Emergency Management Agency shipped the masks out on April 2nd and on April 8th according to reports from ABC 17 News.

The KN95 masks are manufactured in China and Karsten said local agencies should immediately take the masks out of circulation.

Columbia Police will return 750 masks, and the Columbia Fire Department will take 45 masks out of rotation.
