Governor Parson Announces More Budget Cuts

Missouri Governor Mike Parson is announcing another forty seven million dollars in budget cuts.

Parson said during his news briefing yesterday this cut is in addition to the 180 million in cuts announced at the beginning of this month.

The money will come from 9 state agencies, the attorney general’s office and the general assembly according to the governor.

Parson said these are not easy decisions, and they are not made lightly.

But this is the right thing to do to ensure the budget is balanced and we are financially prepared to deal with the impact of COVID-19 moving forward.
