MU Students Will be Required to Wear Masks Indoors On Campus In Fall

When classes begin in August MU Students will be required to wear face masks while indoors on campus while the coronavirus pandemic continues.

UM System President Mun Choi confirmed the decision yesterday (Thursday) after a UM System Board of Curators meeting.

Choi says instructors will wear face shields, and that will allow students who are deaf or hard of hearing to better read instructors’ lips.

A decision on whether the system’s other 3 campuses will require students to wear face masks are not yet finalized.
