Protest Planned In Auxvasse Calling for Police Chief Kevin Suedmeyer to Resign

A protest is being planned tonight (Friday) in Auxvasse calling fir the resignation of Police Chief Kevin Suedmeyer after he was reinstated following an internal investigation of his social media.

According to a spokesperson for the Auxvasse City Hall the protest is being organized by Auxvasse resident Aleigha Turner.

People will gather at 6pm at the Auxvasse City Park and travel to west of the Auxvasse Elementary School.

Main Street will be blocked off and several people are scheduled to speak.

Suedmeyer was placed on administrative leave on June 11th after a citizen complained about posts on the chief’s personal Facebook page that were made about protestors standing in the roadway blocking traffic saying they deserved to be run over, and that would help clean up the gene pool.

As of June 12, Suedmeyer was reinstated as Police Chief with a verbal warning.

Tonight’s protest will be monitored by the Auxvasse Police Department, Callaway County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Missouri Highway Patrol.
