City of Mexico Applying for CARES Grant Money to be Used for New Pool Project

The City of Mexico is applying for over one hundred twenty thousand dollars in CARES funding from the Audrain County Commission for the new swimming pool project.

Chad Shoemaker, director of Mexico Parks and Recs says if they are awarded the money it will be used for several new features on the new swimming pool.

Audrain County was awarded 2.97 million dollars in CARES Act funding in May and the Audrain County Commissioners are currently taking applications to determine how that money will be distributed.

The total cost of the new pool in Mexico is estimated at 3.66 million dollars.
