Twelfth Judicial Circuit Court Returning Back to Phase One of Reopen Plan
After just over a week in Phase 2 of reopening the 12th Circuit Court is returning to Phase One of their reopen plan and will remain in Phase One until further notice.
Presiding Judge Jason Lamb announced today they are taking the action due to the COVID case count throughout the circuit has risen steadily over the past week, recovery count has not kept pace.
Judges will continue to hear emergency matters, such as orders of protection, and juvenile cases in person.
Criminal preliminary hearings and probation violations hearings for individuals incarcerated in a county jail within the circuit, and temporary custody motions will also be heard in person.
All other proceedings will be heard by video.
The 12th Judicial Circuit represents Audrain, Montgomery and Warren Counties.
