Boone County Records New Record in COVID-19 Cases

Boone County Recorded a new record of fifteen hundred cases of COVID-19 yesterday (Thursday).

The county had its first case of the coronavirus on March 17th.

Boone County currently has a seven day positivity rate of 9.7 percent.

The state’s positivity rate is at 11.8 percent.

The recommended rate is 5 percent.

Twenty nine people in Boone County are currently hospitalized because of COVID-19, with 6 of those patients on a ventilator, according to the Columbia/Boone County Health Department.

As of yesterday (Thursday) there were 240 active cases in Boone County.
