The Mexico Bulldogs football team will return to action tonight to play their first ever home game on turf when they face the Centralia Panthers in week one of the high school football season.

Head Coach Steve Haag is entering his seventh season with an overall record of 46-23.

The Panthers have a new head coach in Tyler Forsee.

The Panthers went undefeated during the regular season last year finishing 10-1.

  • Columbia Battle is at home against Ft. Zumwalt North
  • Hickman at home against Francis Howell
  • Rock Bridge at home against Staley
  • The Fulton Hornets open up on the road at Osage
  • Hallsville host Tolton
  • Mark Twain travels to South Callaway
  • Smith-Cotton gets Moberly
  • Monroe City with a trip to St. Puis X
  • Montgomery County hosts Hermann
  • North Callaway is at home facing Louisiana
  • The Paris Coyotes host Harrisburg

The St. Louis Cardinals dropped both games of a doubleheader against the Pittsburgh Pirates yesterday (Thursday).

Game 1 was a 4-3 extra innings loss.

The Redbirds were shutout 2-0 in game 2.
