Columbia Public Schools to Open Fully Online for Upcoming Year

The Columbia Public Schools will open fully online for the upcoming year.

The Columbia Public Schools Board of Education voted 6-1 in favor of the move to online after a special session yesterday afternoon (Monday).

According to Columbia Schools Superintendent Dr. Peter Stieplemen, 52 district staff have either tested positive or are in isolation, just in the past week.

The board says they will focus on the possibility of reopening at its upcoming board meetings.

They next meet on September 14th.
