Missouri Conservation Department Wanting Public Input On Bear Season

The Missouri Department of Conservation is wanting public input soon on a black bear season in Missouri.

The proposed season would begin on the third Monday in October and run 10 days or until the quota is reached in each bear management zone.

Those zones would be in southern Missouri and the season would be limited to Missouri residents only.

Archery and firearms equipment would both be allowed during the same season.

The earliest a season could occur would be fall of 2021.

The Missouri Conservation Commission is asking for public input beginning October 16th through November 14th.
