The St. Louis Cardinals dropped their series finale against the Chicago Cubs 5-1 at Wrigley Field yesterday (Monday).

Despite the loss the Redbirds had a winning road trip having won three out of five against the Cubs and 2 out of 3 against the Cincinnati Reds.

St. Louis heads back to Busch Stadium today 2 and 1/2 games behind the Cubs in the National League Central with 3 weeks to go in the regular season.

The Kansas City Royals with a 5-2 loss to the Cleveland Indians on the road.

Kansas City has now lost seven straight games.

Three undrafted free agents and former MU football players have made NFL practice squads.

Trystan Colon-Castillo, a 3 year starter at center from 2017-2019, was added to the Baltimore Ravens’ practice squad.

Last year’s kicker and punter Tucker McCann was signed to the Tennessee Titan’s practice squad.

The NFL season gets underway on Thursday with the Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Houston Texans.
