Planes Landing Gear Fails in Jefferson City

No injuries reported after a plane that landed in Jefferson City yesterday (Sunday) afternoon had it’s front landing gears fail.

One man was inside the aircraft.

The plane skidded to a stop on the runway at the Jefferson City Memorial Airport, according to the airport manager.

Jefferson City Fire and Police Departments, along with Cole County and Callaway County Emergency Medical Services responded to the incident.

The plane will now be removed from the runway, and investigators will try to find out why the plane’s landing gears failed.
