Columbia Attorney Loses License for a Year

The Missouri State Supreme Court suspends a Columbia attorney’s license for a year.

Syreeta McNeal, a Columbia attorney focusing mainly on bankruptcy and tax matters admitted to violating various rules of professional responsibility.

McNeal admitted to attempting to collect fees to which she was not entitled and threatening to reveal information obtained in client confindences.

McNeal’s license to practice was suspended for a year and if reinstated, will be on probation for three years with specific terms of probation.
