Ralls County Sheriff Gerry Dinwiddie Launching Write-In Campaign for November Election

Ralls County Sheriff Gerry Dinwiddie who announced his retirement earlier this year is now launching a write-in campaign to be reelected in November.

According to the Hannibal Courier Post Dinwiddie announced on Sunday that he will seek another term for his current job.

Brad Stinson, a former Ralls County deputy and current Monroe City Police Officer won the Republican nomination on August 4th, and with no opponent on the Democratic side, appeared to be the next Ralls County Sheriff in January, that was until Dinwiddie threw his hat into the ring.

Dinwiddie said a nasty campaign ran against Stinson’s primary opponent Ronald Haught is what convinced him to run again.
