The Moberly Spartans outlasted the Mexico Bulldogs Friday night in Moberly to claim the North Central Missouri Conference crown.

Moberly, which never trailed, won 28-21, thanks in part to two touchdown catches by Toby Short.

Mexico got two touchdowns from QB Ty Prince, another big rushing effort from fullback Dante Billups, however it was Isiah Reams that took home honors of the Jackson Street Drug – Webber Pharmacy Delivery of the Game.

The 13-yard score put the Dawgs down 7, late in the 4th, but the Moberly offense ground out the clock to put the game away.

Mexico fell to 4-3 and 3-2 in the NCMC, while Moberly improved to 7-1 and 5-0 in conference play.

Other scores from week 8 of high school football include Blair Oaks defeating Southern Boone 42-21.

Centralia remains undefeated taking out Macon 34-18.

Kirksville shutout Fulton 33-0.

Montgomery County bested Van-Far 51-6.

Hallsville over California 50-21.

Hannibal victorious against Marshall 48-14.

Bowling Green 55 South Callaway 14.

Clopton outlasted Paris 19-14.

Battle over Jefferson City 39-21.

North Callaway winning 47-12 against Mark Twain.

The MMA Colonels with a 64-28 win against Crystal City.

And it was Helias big over Smith-Cotton 45-3.

The Missouri Tigers football team will host Kentucky next Saturday at 3pm.

The announcement was made last night (Friday).

Mizzou was set to host Vanderbilt today, however the game was postponed due to COVID-19 related issues.

The SEC also announced that Mizzou will travel to Florida on Saturday October 31st.

The Mizzou/Vandy game will now play December 12th.
