KWWR Sports Report 10/23

It is the regular season finale for the Mexico Bulldogs tonight when they host the Warrenton Warriors.

The Bulldogs are 4-3 on the season while Warrenton is 3-5.

The two teams are in the same district bracket for the playoffs.

If the Bulldogs win they would secure a 3 seed and have a home game against the Fulton Hornets next week in week 1 of the District Playoffs.

Other games include:

  • Hallsville at home against Boonville
  • Centralia Panthers look to go undefeated in the regular season for a 2nd straight year, they are on the road against Palmyra.
  • Battle travels to Hannibal
  • Missouri Military Academy travels to Salisbury.
  • Moberly is on the road to Christian in O’Fallon.
  • Monroe City will host Highland.
  • North Callaway is at home against Montgomery County.
  • Paris hosts Westran.
  • Marshall gets Cameron.
  • Kirksville is on the road facing Capital City.

This years Gold Glove finalists in Major League Baseball is being announced.

For the St. Louis it is Paul Goldschmidt at first base, Tyler O’Neill in left field and Kolten Wong at 2nd base.

For the Kansas City Royals Gold Glove finalists include Nicky Lopez at second base, Alex Gordon in left field.

The winners will be named on Tuesday, November 3rd on ESPN.
