Development Ongoing at Mexico’s West Plaza Shopping Center

New retail developments at Mexico’s West Plaza Shopping Center underway.

According to Norma Hooton, owner and broker of The Heartland in Moberly, listing agent for the property, there is a tenant coming into the former Gordmans building.

Hooton wasn’t at liberty to release the name of the retailer yet, but indicated the announcement would be made soon, possibly later this week.

There is also interest in the former County Market portion of the mall from a warehouse-type business that is not a grocer.

Hooton has also had interest in a smaller 1,200 square foot retail space near Westlake’s.

There is also an available pad site facing West Monroe that has seen interest, although the coffee retailer that was interested chose to locate on South Clark instead, but may add a second location at West Plaza.

West Plaza is owned by the Beresford family in California and does business locally as Mex West LLC.
