Community R-6 Schools Report New COVID-19 Case in District

In a letter to parents today (Tuesday), Community R-6 Superintendent Cheryl Mack says that a staff member in the elementary school has tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of positive cases in the district to two.

The school district and the Audrain County Health Department will contact parents or guardians if any students require quarantining.

R-6 students will also be getting two extra days for Thanksgiving break, according to Mack.

Monday and Tuesday, November 23 and 24 will now be non-attendance days and will allow custodial staff time to do a thorough deep clean of the buildings.
