The Mexico Bulldogs Boys Basketball Team will challenge the Montgomery County Wildcats tonight (Thursday) in the Montgomery County Tournament with a trip to the championship game on the line.
Mexico is the 3 seed and is playing the 2nd seeded host Wildcats.
Tip-off is at 7:30.
Mizzou Men’s Basketball upended the 21st ranked Oregon Ducks 83-75 last (Wednesday) night improving to 2-0 on the season.
The game was played at a neutral site in Omaha, Nebraska and the Tigers earned their first win away from home over a ranked opponent since a win over Illinois on December 22nd, 2012.
Junior Xavier Pinson led the team with 22 points.
Five Tigers got into double figures including Mark Smith with 15, Javon Pickett had 13, Dru Smith added 11, and Junior Jeremiah Tillmon scored 11 points and had nine rebounds.
Mizzou Men next travel to Wichita State on Sunday.
The St. Louis Cardinals cleared 2 spots on their roster at yesterday’s (Wednesday) deadline to offer player contracts for next season, and did not make offers to reliever John Brebbia and infielder Rangel Ravelo, making them both free agents.
The Cardinals tendered contracts to their five other arbitration eligible players, Jack Flaherty, Jordan Hicks, Alex Reyes and John Gant as well as center fielder Harrison Bader.
Salaries can be negotiated at any time or determined later through arbitration hearings.
