Defense Attorney for Man Accused of First Degree Murder in Monroe County Wants Evidence Thrown Out

The defense attorney for a man accused of first-degree murder in Monroe County is asking to have some evidence thrown out.

Fifty-four year old James Addie, was charged with First-Degree Murder in the 2018 shooting death of 35 year old Molly Watson of Huntsville in a rural area near Middle Grove.

Addie’s attorney, Thomas Kirsch filed a motion asking to throw out evidence of tire tracks that Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney Talley Kendrick says proves Addie’s car was at the crime scene.

Judge Jon Beetem has scheduled a virtual hearing for this (Friday) afternoon from the Cole County Courthouse to consider the request.
