Mexico Man Arrested in Hannibal

Hannibal Police arrest a Mexico man on weapons charges and an outstanding Audrain County Warrant.

In a press release from the department, they were called to the 500 block of Mark Twain Avenue for a disturbance Saturday afternoon.

Investigation showed that 17-year old Kayveon K. Dorsey of Mexico was arguing with a woman and fired a handgun at her.

The shot missed the woman but struck the rear bumper of a passing car.

A firearm was found in the hotel room of Dorsey during a search.

He is in the Marion Count Jail for domestic assault, unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action.

Dorsey’s bond on the Hannibal charges is $100,000 cash only.

He was also arrested on Audrain County warrants for dangerous drugs, forgery, resisting an officer, and domestic assault.
