Columbia Man Sentenced to Twenty Two Years in Prison For Leaving Scene of Fatal Crash

A Columbia man who caused a fatal crash and then left the scene is now sentenced to 18 years in prison.

According to court records 22 year old Lukas Evans pleaded guilty yesterday (Tuesday) to involuntary manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident, and armed criminal action.

He was originally charged with 2nd degree murder for the February 2019 death of 37 year old Jordan Hoyt of Columbia.
