Several Organizations Asking Governor Parson to Extend Mail-In Voting Option

Around five dozen are asking Governor Mike Parson to extend a mail-in option into next year for voters in order to reduce the risk of contracting the coronavirus through in-person voting.

A letter was signed by dozens of civil rights advocates and faith leaders asking the Republican governor to use his emergency authority to extend the law he signed in June.

It allows those considered at high-risk of COVID-19 to vote absentee without having their ballot notarized.

Everyone else would need their mail-in ballots to be notarized.
