Christmas Tree at Governor’s Mansion Knocked Over

High winds are likely to blame for knocking over the Christmas Tree at the Governor’s Mansion in Jefferson City last night (Wednesday).

Winds in Jefferson City were reported to be sustained between 20 and 30 miles per hour with gusts as high as 40 miles per hour for several hours last night.

The 40-foot Norway Spruce, was first lit on December 4th during a tree-lighting ceremony.
