The Mexico Bulldogs Boys Basketball Team are ranked 7th in this weeks Missouri Basketball Coaches Association Poll.

The Mexico Boys led by Head Coach Darren Pappas who is in his third season have gotten off to a 5-0 start and won their last two games by 50 points or more in each contest.

According to KWWR/KXEO research the last time the Mexico Boys were ranked was during the 2013-2014 season under then Head Coach Brennan Scanlon.

Mexico next faces Macon tomorrow (Tuesday) night on the road.

The Music City Bowl scheduled between Missouri and Iowa is now officially canceled.

Mizzou made the announcement yesterday (Sunday) afternoon that due to an increase in COVID-19 cases within the Tigers program it is pausing football until January 2nd, three days after the scheduled game in Nashville.

Mizzou Athletic Director Jim Sterk called the rise in cases over the last 8 days significant in a press release.

Mizzou traced the source of the outbreak to several cases that were found upon return from their road game at Mississippi State to close the regular season on December 19th.

The Tigers finished the first season under head coach Eliah Drinkwitz with a 5-5 record.

The Kansas City Chiefs clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC and hoe field advantage through out the playoffs, after defeating the Atlanta Falcons 17-14 yesterday (Sunday).

The Falcons had a chance to tie the game with 9 seconds left however their Pro Bowl Kicker Younghoe Koo missed the field goal.

The Chiefs won their NFL-record 7th straight one-possession game and matched a franchise record with their 10th straight win, improving their record to 14-1.

Kansas City ends the regular season at home on Sunday when they host the Los Angeles Chargers.
