Mexico Schools Plan for In-Seat Return After Christmas Break

The Mexico Public Schools is planning to have students return to in-seat learning on Tuesday, January 5th.

The district has been on Christmas break since December 17th, and according to Superintendent Dr. Tammy Lupardus things have been trending healthier.

When the district went on Christmas break there were 33 staff members in isolation and quarantine, as of last night (Tuesday) that number was down to 7.

Dr. Lupardus says they will continue to monitor numbers and would be able to give 72 hours notice if things should change between now and the return date.
