Mexico Bulldogs Basketball Remains Unbeaten After Emerging in Overtime Battle Against Fulton
The Mexico Bulldogs Boys Basketball Team broke a 3 game losing streak to the Fulton Hornets winning 70-63 on the road in overtime tonight (Monday).
It was a back and forth ball game throughout.
The Bulldogs got off to a quick start and led 15-10 after the first.
Mexico would carry 31-25 lead into halftime.
The Hornets would close the gap in the fourth period outscoring Mexico 16-11 sending the game into overtime tied at 60.
Mexico would put it away in overtime outscoring the Hornets 10 to 3.
The Bulldogs were led in scoring by Isaiah Reams who finished with 21.
Jordan Mitchell who came into the game averaging 2.8 points, finished in double digits with 10 points.
Drew Blevins who hit a clutch three pointer in overtime put 11 points total.
Daeye Miller and Raef Yager had nine points each.
Michael White contributed 7 points and it was Peyton Willer rounding out the scoring book with 3.
The Mexico Bulldogs picked up their first NCMC win of the season and improved to 7-0 overall.
The Hornets fell to 4-1.
The Bulldogs are back on the road on Thursday night when they face the Bowling Green Bobcats in a non-conference game.
Mexico Junior Varsity defeated Fulton 52-48.
