Audrain County Leaders Discuss COVID-19 Issues

Health and community leaders in Audrain County continue to meet virtually for updates on COVID-19.

In today’s (Wednesday’s) meeting, the Audrain County Health Department shared that their focus is on vaccines for healthcare workers and are waiting on state guidance for the rollout of the next part of Phase 1.

Arthur Center Community Health has been asked by the state to conduct a community sampling testing event. Tentatively it will be held Monday, January 18th. Details will be forthcoming.

Both Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia and Pin Oaks in Mexico will have vaccination clinics next week for residents and staff.

SSM said their second round of vaccinations is ongoing and their drive-through testing facility remains open weekdays from 9 until noon.

The Mexico United Methodist Church plans to return to in-pew services on Sunday the 17th with masks being required.
