The Mexico Bulldogs Wrestling Team went 2-0 in a home dual against Southern Boone and Tipton last night (Thursday).

Keith Ransom and Jokiah Sewell went 2-0 and remained a perfect 15-0 on the season.

Ricardo Juarez, Dylan Mosley, Cameron Beasely, Terrell Williams, Caleb Prater, Deacon Haag, and Emille Scanivino went 2-0.

Gavyn Martin and Morgan Grubb were 1-1. Head Coach Gayle Adams said “Over all great night of wrestling, as we got some guys back in the lineup.”

The next meet is in Cameron this weekend where the Bulldogs will wrestle some of the top teams in the state.

The Mexico High School Girls Wrestling Team made history again last night (Thursday) with the first Dual win in school history.

The Bulldogs Girls defeated Southern Boone.

Katie Bowen was 1-1 by decision, Abby Drew 1-1 with a win by fall.

Ivy Perez undefeated at 2-0. Choice Foster 2-0.

And Brett Iman finished the night at 2-0.

The Mexico Bulldogs Boys and Girls Basketball Teams will be on the road again tonight (Friday) against Eugene.

Mexico Girls tip off at 6pm with the boys game to follow.

Mizzou Football junior linebacker Nick Bolton is named to the 2020 Walter Camp All-America Second Team.

It is the 6th All-America honor for Bolton.

He is also a Butkus Award finalist and Jason Witten Man of the Year semifinalist.

In 2020 Bolton’s 67 solo tackles lead the conference while his 95 total tackles ranks 6th.

Chiefs fans are getting the chance to take home some of the banners from Kansas City’s 2020 Super Bowl victory celebration.

The city announced yesterday (Thursday) they are raffling off the 43 banners that were placed along the parade route downtown after the Chiefs won the Super Bowl last year.

Tickets cost five dollars and the city will sell them through January 14th at 3pm.

Some of the proceeds will go to COVID-19 funds according to the City.
