Man Taken to Hospital After Shooting in Columbia

The condition of a victim in a shooting taken to the University Hospital in Columbia last night (Thursday) is unknown.

Police responded to the shooting at the Heather Ridge Apartments around 9pm.

Officials reported the male victim was alert and talking with medics on the scene before he was taken to the hospital.
