More Details Released for COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic at Mexico Airport on Friday

A free COVID-19 vaccination clinic will be offered in Audrain County on Friday, January 29th from 9am – 4pm at the Mexico Airport.

The vaccinations will be available to anyone in Tiers 1 and 2 of Phase 1B of the state’s vaccination plan.

The group includes those 65+ years of age and adults with high-risk conditions such as Cancer, Chronic Kidney Disease, COPD, Intellectual and or developmental disabilities, Heart Conditions, Severe Obesity (Body Mass Index greater than 40), Pregnancy, Sickle Cell Disease and Type 2 Diabetes.

Those in Phase 1B-Tiers 1 and 2 wishing to receive one of the 2,500 available vaccines the National Guard will have available will need to plan to arrive at the Mexico Airport early and expect to wait their turn for an extended period of time. Limited supply will mean some will have to be turned away according to the Audrain County Health Department.

No pre-registration is required for the clinic.

People are asked to bring one form identification.
