His wife, Kathryn, made the announcement this morning (Wednesday) on his radio show.

Limbaugh lost his battle with lung cancer this morning according to his family.

Rush Limbaugh is considered one of the most influential media figures in American history.

His radio show started in 1988 with only 56 radio stations and grew to be the most listened-to radio show in the United States, airing on more than 600 stations.
