Woman Set to be Sentenced in May After Hitting and Killing Pedestrian in Columbia

A woman who was speeding and talking on Facetime when she hit and killed a pedestrian in Columbia will be sentenced in May after she pleaded guilty in court to first-degree involuntary manslaughter.

Regine McCracken is facing a sentence of 3 to 10 years in prison for the 2019 death of Randall Siddens.

He was picking up traffic cones when McCracken’s car hit him and another person.

Police say McCracken failed to stop at a light and then swerved to avoid a crash before she hit Siddens.
