Bird Scooters Coming Back to Columbia

Bird scooters are set to return to Columbia after the Columbia City Council approved an agreement with the University of Missouri and Bird Rides, Inc last night (Monday).

The council voted unanimously to support the dock-less scooters after questions were asked about past issues such as logistics and placement.

There is no set timeline for the return, however Columbia City leaders estimate around 500 scooters could be back within the next month.

The scooters left Columbia in November of 2019, then during negotiations for them to come back, MU shut it’s campus down because of the pandemic.
