Mexico, Missouri native Brit Wilson has advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Wrestling Championships.

Brit competed at the Enterprise Arena in St. Louis yesterday (Thursday), and opened his day with a pair convincing victories in the first 2 rounds.

Wilson represents Northern Illinois University and will face the No. 2 seed Trent Hidlay of North Carolina State today (Friday).

Wilson is the first Northern Illinois University wrestler since Shawn Scott in 2016 to advance to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Championships.

The Mexico Baseball Team is set to take the field for the first time tonight (Friday) since May 10th, 2019.

Mexico will play their season opener tonight (Friday) on the newly turfed Green Field against Paris.

Gates open at 4:30, with Varsity starting at 5pm and JV to follow.

Mizzou Women’s Basketball is set to open up play in the WNIT against Fresno State this afternoon (Friday) in Fort Worth, Texas.

This season’s WNIT field features 32 teams, with each team guaranteed 2 games at the four regional sites.

The winning team from each region will advance to the final four in Memphis, Tennessee which will take place March 26th through 28th.

The Mizzou Women tip off this afternoon at 2.

In Spring Training Baseball yesterday (Thursday) the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Miami Marlins 7-5. Paul Dejong hit a run home run in the game.

The Kansas City Royals lost 9-7 to the Chicago White Sox.
