Former Mizzou basketball standout Kim English is being named to a head coaching position.

After spending time as an assistant coach at Tulsa, Colorado, and Tennessee, English is set to take over the program at George Mason.

English played at Mizzou from 2008 to 2012 before being drafted by the Detroit Pistons in the second round in 2012.

George Mason is in Fairfax, Virginia, about an hour away from English’s hometown of Baltimore.

After a day off yesterday, the Royals are back this afternoon, taking on the Los Angeles Angels. First pitch is at 3:05.

The Cards are back in action this afternoon, taking on the Mets, first pitch at 12:05. They’re coming off a 5-5 tie with the Nationals yesterday afternoon.
